Thoughts

I would like to reiterate all that Gerald has posted in recognition of George and all the lovely memories we have of him. He was always so welcoming whenever we visited his and Helen’s homes in St. Albans and Galway and treated us to many delicious meals from his international repertoire. He will be sadly missed by all of us. With love from Neasa and Angie in Dubai.

As we gather here in St. Albans to say goodbye to our dear friend and brother in law, George, naturally we are full of sadness but also of gratitude for having known George for almost fifty years. George was always gentle, kind and thoughtful. Thank you George for having been such a wonderful husband to our sister, Helen, an incredible father and grandfather to Karen and Nicholas and to Holly, Anna, Joe and Millie. You always left such great memories after your visits! Including the indelible smell of Parmesan in our vacuum cleaner when you dropped the packet our our carpet on your way back to Libya in the mid 1980's. I also must apologise again George for the time I dropped the casserole of chicken curry on your white chinos on the balcony at Lake Como. George you will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. We only have truly fond memories of a great gentleman and human being. Rest in peace dear George. Gerald.
