Its with a sad heart that I post this message. it’s been a privilege to know George, yes, we have known each other for the last seventy years short of a few months. I am pleased that we always kept in touch so I was able to follow also the progress of his children and grandchildren, which he always updated me on. George was a kind and thoughtful man with that lovely smile and always wanting to do something for you. When I saw him a few weeks before that sad day I was telling him about the pruning I had done in the garden and how because my gardening gloves where not so sturdy I got a few thorns embedded in my hands. What was his reaction? He got up and asked me to follow him to the garden to his many Aladdin’s caves, his sheds, and said I have some very heavy-duty gardening gloves that you can have and he searched here and there until he found a pair and he also gave me a pair of safety glasses and said make sure you use them when pruning in the garden. That is the person he was and how I will remember him. Good by my dear friend. Thank you for the fond memories Giorgio
